Terms

Last updated: 30 July 2026

These terms cover the joaxclaw.ai website and the hosted web app served from it. They do not restrict the JoaxClaw software itself, which is licensed separately under the MIT License — you may run, modify, and self-host it regardless of anything here.

What the hosted web app is

The hosted web app is a convenience: a copy of the open-source web build, served for you, gated behind an active monthly sponsorship. It is not required to use JoaxClaw. The desktop app is free, and the same web build can be self-hosted for free — instructions are on the account page.

The app runs entirely in your browser and talks directly to your own OpenClaw gateway. We do not operate a gateway, do not proxy your traffic, and cannot see your conversations, credentials, or data. What the app can do depends on your gateway, not on us.

Sponsorship and access

Access is granted while your GitHub account has an active monthly sponsorship at or above the advertised tier. Sponsorship is handled entirely by GitHub Sponsors — billing, receipts, cancellation, and refunds are between you and GitHub under their terms. We take no payment directly and hold no payment details.

Cancelling ends hosted access at the end of the sponsorship period. Your data isn't affected, because none of it lives here — it lives on your gateway and in your browser.

No warranty, and no uptime promise

The website and hosted app are provided as is, without warranty of any kind. This is a solo open-source project, not a commercial service: there is no service-level agreement, no guaranteed uptime, no support commitment, and the hosted app may change, break, or be withdrawn. If continuity matters to you, self-host the build or use the desktop app — both keep working regardless of what happens here.

To the extent permitted by law, liability for any loss arising from use of the website or the hosted app is limited to the amount you sponsored in the preceding month.

Acceptable use

Don't use the hosted app to break the law, to attack infrastructure (ours, GitHub's, or anyone else's), or to circumvent the access gate. Automated scraping of the gate or of the sponsorship check isn't allowed. Access may be withdrawn for any of the above.

Changes

These terms live in the public repository, so every revision is visible in version history. Material changes to the hosted app will be reflected here.
